The Rules of the Board
01. The Mechanic & Pricing
SpotBoard operates on a descending Dutch auction. When a slot opens, its price starts at the category starting rate and decays on a fixed schedule (every 2–3 hours) down to a reserve floor. The first buyer to complete checkout secures the placement for exactly 24 hours.
Prices are deterministic pure functions of time and historical category demand. There is no bidding, no snipe extension, and no negotiation.
02. Permitted Listings
We accept links to legitimate product websites, developer tools, SaaS applications, newsletter landing pages, and verified creator profiles. Identity is tied to the destination URL.
03. Prohibited Content (Banned Without Refund)
The following content is strictly prohibited:
- Adult content, pornography, and sexually explicit material.
- Gambling, online casinos, betting, and lotteries.
- Multi-level marketing (MLM), pyramid structures, and referral tier schemes.
- Direct chat invite links (Telegram channels, WhatsApp groups, Discord servers, Signal).
- Link shorteners, affiliate cloakers, and tracking redirects.
- Speculative cryptocurrency token pages, memecoins, presales, ICOs, airdrop farming, or yield/return guarantees.
Crypto software products (wallets, developer tools, analytics, node infrastructure) are permitted; asset positions and speculative coins are banned.
04. Payments, Refunds & Disputes
All payments are processed securely via Dodo Payments (Merchant of Record). Because placements activate immediately and inventory is strictly scarce, all payments are final.
Violation of the prohibited content rules results in instant removal and permanent blocking of the URL without refund.
05. Performance Tracking
Impressions are recorded only after ≥50% viewport visibility for ≥1 continuous second. Clicks are routed through our privacy-preserving edge redirect (/c/[campaignId]) which filters bot traffic, crawler hits, and duplicate clicks. Published clicks/day represent genuine historical medians.
